Winter Lavender in Tasmanaia

May 18, 2020 By Doug

Tasmania always conjured up images of Bugs Bunny, but after visiting there, now one indelible memory is of their lavender fields.  I can only imagine what this looks like when they’re in bloom (we went in the winter), but the rows still made for a neat image.

Sunset over Pantheon

May 9, 2020 By Doug

Is it real, or is it memorex?  Remember those old commercials?  In this case, this is a real shot of the Pantheon in Rome, but it was taken on a nice sunny day with a completely boring sky.  On another trip though (to Moab), there was a really cool sky, but a meh landscape.  So put the two together, and what you get is my first try at a photo-composite using Luminar.   I rather like how it turned out.  So is this a photograph or a photo composite?  Probably both, but it looks cool, and that’s good enough for this weeks post.

Sunset in Moab

April 30, 2020 By Doug

Next up in my weekly zoom-background revisits is this sunset scene from Moab.  It’s not very far out of town, but pretty much everything in the area is scenic.  This is an HDR to capture the wide range and mood of the moment.

At times where we’re all feeling a bit trapped, remembering that the wide world is still out there waiting gives us something to look forward to!
