The first time we went to Tower Hill in Victoria, Australia, I was just starting to get into photography. We went in the middle of the day, and the critters were few and far between. Since then, my technique has improved, and this time we went at dusk, when they were really active. There was a flock (herd?) of emu wandering around near the parking lot, so I had time to practice shooting – trying to get the focus on the eye. For some reason, they just wouldn’t hold still long enough, but this one gave me a couple of chances.
Friday Photo – Here’s Looking at ‘Roo’
This week’s Friday Photo is from our recent trip to Melbourne and the Great Ocean Road. Australia is one of our favorite vacation spots; the scenery, the critters, and the people combine to make it a wonderful time. So here’s to ‘Roo’ for all the folks who made our trip a great time.
Friday Photo – Koala at Tower Hill
We recently visited the Tower Hill nature reserve in Victoria, Australia. It’s our second time, and continues to be an amazing place to see wildlife. This koala was in a tree right near the parking lot just snoozing away, ignoring the crazy American with his camera.
It got me thinking though, there’s a moral here for cybersecurity too – no matter how safe and comfortable we think we are, there’s always something sharp ready to poke us in our complacent rears.
