Continuing to mine the archives for new zoom background, and also thinking of cooler times as we start to get into the 90’s. This was from a spur of the moment trip to Estes Park – typical tourist cabin, nothing special, until the next morning. We woke up to a winter wonderland, with that wonderful soft quiet air. Magical.
Termination Dust in Estes Park
My wife and I try to get into the mountains as often as we can, and aren’t about to let a little weather get in the way. This past week, we went up to Estes Park, and woke up to 14 inches of new termination dust on the ground – summer is truly over up there (and it’s not all that much higher than my house).
The trip was my chance to try out my new D850 and start getting to know it. The resolution and capabilities are amazing (as are the file sizes – this one is a 600MB DNG), but it’ll take a lot more shooting incredible scenes to get really comfortable with it. Darn, we’ll just have to go up in the mountains again.
